About the Artwork

Journey of Souls reinterprets its original work through traditional silkscreen printing, translating the chromatic complexity and visual depth of Clare Rojas’s painting into an elegant print form. Each edition is a meticulously layered silkscreen composed of more than 20 colors, produced in collaboration with master printmaker Luther Davis.

Birds, moons, suns, tides, and flowers are archetypal forms that recur throughout Rojas’s work. They serve as symbols of the cyclical rhythms of destruction and growth, death and rebirth. In Journey of Souls, these recurring forms take on a new resonance that is at once deeply personal and universally familiar, offering a new point of entry into the exhibition and the broader context of her practice.
